599. The end of another crazy year

2023 was a year of records. Some say all records of stupidity have been broken. There’s method in his madness. This quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet perfectly describes our turbulent times. That’s true, because many “random” events fit perfectly with the concept of the “Great Reset” as described in Klaus Schwab’s book.

Last year I wrote 270 articles, which is more than two out of three days. My blog was visited by over 170,000 users in April.

I don’t write this blog to break records. Whether we like it or not, we are all involved in the war. One of the most important fronts in this war is people’s consciousness. The chance of surviving the impending global economic collapse depends largely on our proper understanding of the world in which we live. This is inevitable and the question that needs to be asked is not whether there will be a crisis. This is already there in the form of inflation and will affect the entire world. The laws of economics are inexorable. The only question is: when will we feel the collapse of the global financial system? What day will we wake up and not be able to use an ATM or even withdraw money from our bank branches because all branches are closed?

Some people say in the comments that I’m spreading unnecessary panic. I would be happy if it turned out I was wrong. Unfortunately, in a situation where the current monetary system is kept alive thanks to (lying) mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, it is only a matter of time before people lose trust in the pieces of paper that are conventionally called money.

There is a lot of talk about digital money, which is intended to replace the banknotes currently used. I am also a supporter of holding cash because it gives us a certain sense of freedom. However, freedom ends when used banknotes lose their value and become what they really are: paper. Currently we have both paper money and virtual money. What is much more important, however, is that we have the choice of payment method. The planned digital money CDBC (Central Bank Digital Currency) is a similar money to the virtual form of payment used so far. The threat lies not in the CDBC itself, but in the ability to use it to completely control our spending.

The most important thing is therefore not whether this form of money will be introduced – it would be difficult to stop this development – but who will have control over the management of the accounts of this currency. In this situation, the natural consequence will be the emergence of a black market, which by definition is beyond the control of the system. It will certainly be fought with all the means available to this system. I expect a similar situation will arise to that over a century ago when opponents of alcohol serving introduced prohibition in the United States. This gave the mafia new scope for action and the sale of alcoholic beverages moved underground.
