The European Parliament has adopted Chat Control. Scanning our private messages is now authorized in the Union, in the name of “protecting children.” A majority of MEPs voted against the text, but, due to a procedural rule, an absolute majority would have been required to reject it. This was not achieved. Mass surveillance has been eliminated. Since my beginnings, I have defended three simple things: the People, Freedom, and privacy.

Here is the introduction to a guide published on Thursday on x.com: How to escape Chat Control and the monitoring of your private messages. Source.

Yesterday, the European Parliament reinstated the monitoring of chats through an expedited procedure—a measure that had already been rejected twice and had expired in April. Through a underhanded maneuver during the vote, mass surveillance of private chats was reintroduced.
To reject the bill, an absolute majority of at least 361 votes against the law would have been required, not just a simple majority. Despite 314 votes against and only 276 votes in favor of passing the law, this censorship was adopted thanks to a brazen manipulation.

The guide presented above explains, step by step, what to do to limit online surveillance. It also includes links to the relevant tools.

In my opinion, the biggest problem preventing users from circumventing online surveillance is the fear of having to learn how to use programs and operating systems they’re not familiar with. We decide for ourselves whether to stick with the existing, strictly controlled applications or opt for true, uncensored digital freedom. What matters is that we have a choice. This is a form of struggle for our survival.

Pavel Durov accused Macron of turning the EU into a “digital gulag” through the censorship provided for in the DSA law and the mass surveillance carried out under the “Chat Control” program. The U.S. State Department imposed travel and visa restrictions on Thierry Breton and several individuals associated with nongovernmental organizations over an alleged “censorship industry.” Source.

The gradual erosion of freedoms is a long-term process. A process that has been going on for many years. The manipulation of public opinion was already widespread even before the first newspapers appeared. An important milestone in this process was the changes introduced after the false-flag attack, known as the “terrorist attack” on the WTC on September 11, 2001. I must emphasize at this point that whoever did this was indeed a terrorist, though it would be futile to look for the perpetrators in the Middle East—they are more likely to be found among high-ranking bureaucrats at the Pentagon, the White House, and the CIA. Another drastic step toward restricting civil liberties was the global biological war in March 2020.

“Voluntary” mass surveillance is no different from mandatory surveillance.
For those in power, citizens’ freedom of speech and information is a thorn in their side, which is why they are increasingly trying to force freedom of speech into the narrow confines of their own views.
We must stand up against this—civil rights and freedom are non-negotiable!
Christian Hafenecker, Secretary General of the FPÖ.

Once rights are lost, they can only be regained at an enormous cost. That is what the unvarnished part of the history of the struggle for freedom teaches us. And we, after a long period of prosperity following World War II, are not capable of fighting for our rights—we have yet to learn how. Worse still, many of us are not even aware of what we are losing.
