Mourners have poured onto the streets of the Iranian capital as the funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, gets underway, in what officials have described as the largest public gathering in the country’s modern history.

Delegations from scores of countries, including heads of state, prime ministers, and senior officials from Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Tajikistan, Turkey, and dozens of other nations, arrived in Tehran to pay their respects on Friday.

The burial will take place on Thursday, July 9, at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, in accordance with the martyred Leader’s will.

The quotes above are from an article published today on presstv.ir: Millions gather in Tehran for historic funeral procession of martyred Leader.

A huge crowd had gathered at Enqelab Square in Tehran to take part in the funeral procession for the late Iranian leader.

Iran is one of the few civilizations in the world that can look back on a history spanning more than five thousand years. The extremely naive aggressors, who supposedly had the best intelligence service in the world, were convinced that a single spark among what they believed to be the dissatisfied majority of the Iranian population would be enough to trigger another “color revolution” and topple the country’s government. To amplify this effect, on February 28—the first day of the war—they assassinated the head of state, his family, and numerous leading government officials. The artificially triggered revolution took on no “color.”

What did they achieve with this? They created a martyr, a very courageous and wise man who, through his death, became the unifying force for Iranians in their struggle against the barbarians.

Alireza Akbari of Press TV claims that the scale and emotion surrounding the funeral of the late leader were unmatched by any other major funeral ceremony in Iran’s history—millions of people from across the country and even from abroad had come to bid farewell to a figure they regarded as a leader, an expert, and, for many, a father. He said: Ayatollah Khamenei cannot be compared to anyone.

I do not intend to compare this statesman, but by way of contrast, I am showing a welcome banner that was hung on one of the bridges in Istanbul to mark Donald Trump’s arrival in Turkey for the NATO conference.

Hide your children Trump is comming!
