It is very easy to manipulate people through tricks and the misinterpretation of statistical data. This is especially true when the mainstream media bombards the public with such information. This gives rise to deeply rooted myths that—like the fairy tale of a miracle cure—take hold despite all logic and contrary to the findings of independent scientists. The definition of the disease is altered to produce the desired statistics. The pharmaceutical industry has the final say over the medical school curriculum, which means that doctors are indoctrinated in the desired direction from the very beginning.
Claims made without any scientific basis are already commonplace. The most important argument is that they are voiced by a so-called expert.
