Two of the sources said Trump claimed he’d helped keep Netanyahu out of jail — a reference to his support during Netanyahu’s corruption trial. Such “leaks” about a phone call are usually staged to manipulate public opinion. In this case, I believe the goal is to boost Trump’s catastrophically low approval ratings among MAGA supporters ahead of the fall elections in the U.S. It wouldn’t be difficult to find out who leaked the contents of the wiretapped phone call in the Oval Office to the press. However, there will be no investigation into this matter.
Yesterday’s edition of the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports:
While Trump took to Truth Social after his announcement to thank PM Netanyahu for agreeing not to launch “a major raid of Beirut,” and said the two had a “very productive call,” Axios later reported that the president “lashed out” at the premier during the “expletive-laden” call for putting talks with Iran in jeopardy by escalating operations against Hezbollah.
Politics is a theater with a poor cast and a use of psychological tricks in public relations that has been taken to the point of absurdity. Where have the days of actor-presidents like Ronald Reagan gone? Back then, at least we were manipulated professionally.
The expected coming of the Messiah will mark the end of a terrorist state that brings death and destruction upon the very peoples who once came to their aid—aiding refugees fleeing the Holocaust that they themselves are now perpetrating.
