We live in times when the telephone used for communication replaces communication itself. This topic was discussed in Norbert Häring’s German blog: Our children are forgetting how to speak (source).
Chats and likes cannot replace direct communication. How can young people learn to have interesting conversations if instead of using words they just click “like”?
The robotization of societies is progressing at breakneck speed all over the world. Smartphone addiction is just the beginning of this process. Fewer and fewer people will be surprised to see such scenes on the street:
This is no exception. I found a video with several such cases where people who were in a virtual world were seen in our supposedly “normal” world.
Please don’t expect me to give you a recipe for what to do next in life. Each of us has to learn this ourselves. The photo below could be a clue.
