The powerful tech elite is pushing ahead at full speed with the technological enhancement of humans and funding the development of AI. At the same time, they fear conditions of “apocalyptic proportions” for the world that will emerge from this… how does that fit together? The words of former billionaire Florian Homma about the situation of these horsemen of the Apocalypse, who call themselves “saviors of the world,” are telling:
I’m unhappy, I’m lonely. […] I’m not really living!” […] My heart was withered. I was dead. And that was death. Love is missing. Feeling is missing. […] That there is no joy. That there is no pain. […] You lack the ability to have a truly deep relationship because you don’t have one with yourself. […] “The bells are rung for you, from within and from God.
That is how much the lives of these criminals are worth—criminals who base their power on the riches stolen from humanity. Billions cannot replace a simple, friendly smile, sympathy, and respect—things that no amount of money in the world can buy. For their money, they receive only material goods that are completely useless to them, and the illusion of being superior to others, even though in reality they are despicable creatures who do not understand what is truly important in life.
That is precisely why they have good reason to fear the hatred of the people they have harmed. I do not frighten anyone—they are already afraid themselves and, as usual, react by investing in a false sense of security.
Behind the windows of their armored cars, they have no chance of forming meaningful connections with truly valuable people, since there’s always the fear that someone is after their wealth. They steal themselves, so they can’t imagine that anyone else might not do the same. Money undoubtedly makes life easier, but if it’s your main goal, you’re condemning yourself to cruel loneliness in the midst of billions of ordinary people.
For those who struggle to come up with money for their daily bills, this is hard to understand. Most people equate wealth with happiness. Yet happiness lies within each of us, completely independent of the contents of our wallets. Happy is the person who recognizes it in everyday relationships, in the beauty of nature, and in the selfless smile of a friend.
That is why it is not worth envying the Gates of this world for their wealth. They are the ones facing the problem of how to protect those billions from the crisis and prevent them from being stolen by their “friends.” Their greatest concern, however, is the real danger of well-deserved revenge from the people they have stolen from and deceived.
