What on earth has become of this world? That’s what the famous Polish cabaret artist Jan Pietrzak said half a century ago. Before the war, that would have been unthinkable. One might ask which war he’s referring to—have there been so many already? In another cabaret show, we heard that people shouldn’t have more than three children. Why? Because one in four people on Earth is Chinese.
That brings us to today’s topic, which is: China dares to contradict the empire. Source.
China officially supports Palestine’s admission to the BRICS group. After the Palestinian Authority submitted a formal application for full membership in September 2025, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that it expressly welcomed the accession of “like-minded partners” to create a fairer international order. Since unanimity is required for new members within BRICS, a guest or observer role for Palestine is considered the most likely first step.

In geopolitics, neither sentimentality nor morality play a role. I do not wish to belittle this initiative by the Middle Kingdom in any way. Given the support of both China and Russia for the U.S. dollar—a passive support, since the BRICS nations could have brought down this green paper, which fuels the majority of military conflicts worldwide, long ago. China’s goal is to limit India’s role as a false “defender” of Palestinian rights.

I’m sorry if I’m shattering anyone’s illusions, but after several years of a totalitarian war against humanity (COVID, Ukraine, Gaza, Iran, migration, climate change, and the rest of the 2030 Agenda), anyone who believes that morality and politics are compatible has only themselves to blame.
