The title is an exaggeration. It could be compared to Donald Trump’s demand to Iran in June, when he rashly called for unconditional surrender.
More than two years ago, Mark Zuckerberg publicly declared the end of censorship on Facebook. And yes, I have not received any more reports of rule violations from the FB administration. However, this platform has extended the so-called shadow banning. My posts are not even visible to the group administrators. In most groups, the administrator’s approval is required after publishing a new post. And rightly so, because in this way posts that do not belong to the topic of the group can be avoided. If the administrator is not aware that a new post has appeared in their group, a queue is created:
But it wasn’t Facebook that I wanted to write about here. Four years ago, my YouTube channel was irretrievably shut down. This channel was relatively small, and my only loss was the inability to reach a broad spectrum of YouTubers. I didn’t complain to the censorship board – I thought it was pointless. But nothing is forever or irretrievable, allow me that philosophical comment.

Now comes the great act of mercy. Everyone should be allowed to return. As if nothing had happened. Not a word about compensation, no admission that fundamental rights have been violated on a massive scale and debates destroyed. Instead, they are selling the opening as proof of their own commitment to freedom of expression. For these corporations, freedom of expression is not a conviction, but a variable – depending on the political climate. However, the censorship machinery is not standing still – it has only been put into neutral for a short time until the next politically motivated campaign comes along.
Well, yes. After Facebook’s experience with censorship, I don’t have high hopes. I filed a complaint with YouTube today, which I somehow motivated:
I read in the media that the Biden-era censorship on YouTube is history.
Half an hour later, my channel – mostly in German – had reappeared. Here you can find videos I recorded of demonstrations and videos I found that criticize the Cowidose.
So why did I set up this YouTube account? Quite simply to counteract such a “commandment” of information:
I want to relax and enjoy the life of a pensioner instead of looking for topics that are covered by media censorship. One day I will probably stop writing. The hopelessly shoddy propaganda, especially from our Western media, prevents me from taking a break.
Most consumers of TV “truth” are unaware of what a hypocritical world we live in today. It has always been hypocritical, even more than a quarter of a century ago when I couldn’t imagine a day without television news. After all, we need to know what is going on in our world. But this “knowledge” was and is a caricature of the facts on which it is supposedly based.
