The WSO—a weapons systems officer with the rank of colonel—was rescued in a large-scale operation by the U.S. Army after finding himself in a dire situation following his ejection from an F-15E fighter jet shot down by Iranian forces. Such an operation is easy to sell in the media by showing how the U.S. Army fights to save every single life—naturally, those of its own soldiers. Officers with a rank below lieutenant or, at most, captain are typically deployed for missions in fighter jets. This time was different. Not only the officer’s rank, but also the location of the mission—near the suspected site where Iran stores its stockpile of enriched uranium—suggest other, hidden objectives for this mission.

No, it wasn’t a “rescue mission.” It was supposed to be a large-scale surprise attack—but it walked straight into an Iranian ambush. Much like Operation “Eagle Claw” in 1980, this one also ended in a spectacular defeat.

An article was published on Sonar21.com on Monday: What the Hell Happened with the Rescue of the F-15E WSO in Iran?

Iran’s air defense system succeeded on Friday, April 3, in downing a US F-15E over Iran. There is some dispute and confusion about the exact location. The pilot and the WSO (i.e., Weapons System Officer) both successfully ejected but were separated. The pilot was quickly rescued by the Combat Search and Rescue (i.e., CSAR) and the two Pave Hawk helicopters ferrying him back to safety were hit, but managed to make it to Kuwait — despite trailing visible black smoke.

Once again, Iran has brought the Americans no luck. Trump desperately needs a victory, but he has suffered yet another defeat. How is he supposed to end this foolish war that he started at the behest of his friends? He will have to announce that the colonel has been rescued. Something has to work out! He has the most powerful army of all time, but all it can boast about is murdering children.

Officially, the United States lost 12 aircraft in the attempt to rescue the pilot.
However, there is ample evidence to suggest that they were actually trying to seize the enriched uranium produced in Iran.

Despite the ultimatum, Iran refused to be intimidated by the U.S., and it is precisely Iran that will be the party whose terms for peace must be accepted without fail. The U.S. has already issued a barrage of demands:

  1. Unconditional surrender;
  2. The overthrow of the government and the installation of the former Shah’s son as an American puppet at the helm of Iran;
  3. Decision not to proceed with the previously unplanned production of a nuclear bomb;
  4. Destruction of missile stockpiles;
  5. Destroy all drones;
  6. The provision of all oil fields to the United States;
  7. The opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Added to this is likely the provision of land for the construction of U.S. military bases on Iranian territory, as well as pegging the currency to the dollar and conducting all transactions in dollars. I certainly haven’t listed all the demands. A year ago, Trump told Zelenskyy that he had no trump cards to play to set conditions. Now that virtually all playing cards are manufactured in China, the U.S. lacks the leverage to enforce these absurd demands.

Tehran will set the terms for peace.
