Trump is only successful. Others are to blame for failures. The dismissal of Attorney General Pam Bondi triggered a purge within the administrative structures of the White House and the Pentagon. According to reports, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth demanded the immediate dismissal of the Army Chief of Staff, General Randy George, and two other high-ranking officers were dismissed without any official reason being given.
I immediately thought of the situation among German generals at the end of World War II. I don’t want to compare Trump to Hitler. Different times, different politics. I’m comparing the situation before the collapse of military power with ambitions for world domination.
Scale of the dismissals (1942–1945): In the context of the entire final phase of the war, press reports and historical sources spoke of the dismissal of several dozen to over 100 generals. In 1945 alone, in the face of final defeat, the turnover in leadership positions was continuous.
The destroyed American military bases no longer serve as a refuge for thousands of soldiers, who are now forced to hide in private accommodations and hotels in the very countries they were supposed to defend. Another F-15E fighter jet was shot down over the Persian Gulf, and to this day there has been no word on the fate of the two pilots. Two Apache helicopters sent to provide assistance were also shot down. Such incidents certainly have no decisive impact on the success of the special forces operation, but they do attest to the absence of the U.S.’s proudly proclaimed air superiority.
In response, the world’s largest democracy is doing what it has always done: attacking civilians of the enemy it has itself identified. Bridges, universities, hospitals, and schools—these are the targets of the discredited army in Iran. Despite intensive satellite surveillance and the remaining Mossad and CIA spies in Iran, they do not know where the drone and missile factories, the warehouses, and the missile launch pads are located. Much like in Vietnam, where they dropped napalm on Vietnamese villages, they are now deploying GBU-57 bombs weighing over 13 tons. The IDF is using white phosphorus bombs.
