Yesterday, the strategic situation in the Persian Gulf underwent a fundamental shift. The attack on the water treatment plant in Kuwait reveals a reality quite different from the one portrayed on Western television. Households in what was once the world’s richest country have run out of water, and it will not flow again for a long time.

Power outages are a major problem for people accustomed to a constant energy supply. The hours-long missile alerts also place a heavy burden on the population. But the specter of dying of thirst far surpasses all these nightmarish situations. A person without water survives for three days at most—after that, a cruel death follows. Kuwait is unable to supply all its residents with water. The fire department, already overburdened with fighting the fires caused by Iranian missiles, will not be able to handle this additional strain. Furthermore, the country imports 98% of its food, and the only route for container ships carrying food is through the Strait of Hormuz.

Al Jazeera reported that Iran had damaged a power plant and a desalination plant in Kuwait.

It is also a media war. A recent article on ZeroHedge states:

The Iranian military denied on Monday being behind the recent attack which hit a desalination plant in Kuwait, labeling the strike a US-Israeli false-flag operation aimed at “destabilizing and destroying the region.”

“The brutal aggression by the Zionist regime against the desalination facility in Kuwait, carried out in recent hours under the pretext of accusing the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a sign of the vileness and depravity of the Zionist occupiers,” the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian army said in a statement. According to top-secret Pentagon plans, the U.S.-planned invasion of Iran is to proceed as follows:

Ansar Allah—the Houthis in Yemen—have already demonstrated how they can fight against what is supposedly the world’s greatest power. Even the Iraqi army is waiting to launch an attack on Kuwait until a few thousand cowboys show up. The Americans attempted to free hostages from Iran 46 years ago. The operation was called “Eagle Claw” at the time and ended in a crushing defeat. Source.

To drive the final nail into one’s own coffin.

A declining empire generally does not learn from its mistakes, as it does not view them as such. From the 12-day war last June, when the prime minister of a country that finds itself in the position it desires pleaded for an end to the conflict, they concluded that Iran had already fired most of its missiles. That is why they were so surprised by the escalation of the conflict across the entire Persian Gulf after they had assassinated Iranian leaders.

American military bases in the Middle East are deserted following the Iranian attacks. The military has moved into hotels, which are also being hit by Iranian missiles. It will become increasingly difficult for Trump to find a place where cows can graze, guarded by cowboy-like forces.

I am no supporter of NATO, and even less so of the ossified European mummy. In this case, however, I believe it is right for them to highlight the complete isolation of two countries that are clumsily implementing a policy of senseless expansion.
