There is no doubt that we are living in a historic moment that will determine the fate of the world to come. Every day brings surprising news that turns our previous worldview upside down. When the USSR collapsed—quite deservedly—more than three decades ago, its rival, the United States, remained the sole superpower. The United States based its power on its undisputed military strength as well as on the widespread acceptance of the dollar as the currency for all major international transactions.
The dollar is losing its leading role. No wonder—with debt so high that the U.S. government has to take on new debt just to pay the interest on that debt. Anyone who lives beyond their means knows how that has to end.

Get high with a little help from my friends – sang Joe Cocker at Woodstock in 1969. Today, this advice is more relevant than ever. When a “friend” pushes you into an adventure, in the end all you’re left with is the drug that keeps you going. The decline of the petrodollar isn’t Trump’s only problem. His military might is slowly becoming the myth it always was. All it took was a stamp of the foot, and so far, all enemies have cowered in fear. This widespread belief in the superior military power of the U.S. is fading with every new incident in the Middle East.
What good is it that, technically speaking, the U.S. has the strongest fleet and the most aircraft carriers of any country in the world? Such a powerful ship, carrying thousands of soldiers, with planes and helicopters on board, a large stockpile of ballistic missiles, and the most technically sophisticated missile defense system, turns out to be a potential target despite being escorted by numerous warships. According to the Pentagon, two weeks ago the flagship of the U.S. Navy, the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, was struck by washing machines on board; the resulting fire has rendered this magnificent vessel fit only for repairs, which are expected to take about a year. It should be noted here that the fire safety systems on this ship were also at the highest possible level.
Following an initial assessment of the “fire damage” to the world’s most expensive aircraft carrier on the Greek island of Crete, it became clear that this “vessel” would have to be sent to Split on the Croatian Adriatic for more extensive repairs. In this simple way, Iran has rid itself of a colossus of the U.S. Navy.
Highly advanced technology has a serious drawback—it is very expensive and can be destroyed using far less costly means. There is no 100% protection, as Israel and its neighboring Arab countries have learned the hard way. It is impossible to foresee every possible attack scenario. There is always a gap in the defense, and this is precisely what Iran exploits.

Hezbollah forces, which are allied with Iran (and are classified as terrorist groups by the U.S. and Israel, even though it is actually the U.S.-Israel alliance that is the terrorist), are also inflicting heavy losses on Israel. You can read about this in an article that appeared yesterday on tkp.at: Israeli army: heaviest tank losses in over 40 years. Source.
We are feeling the effects of this war in Europe as well.
