During the Nuremberg trials, Hermann Göring had a conversation with a journalist in prison in which he said, among other things
“Man is not warlike by nature. What farmer would want to risk his life if his greatest dream was to return to his farm peacefully and unharmed?
Nobody wants war – not in Germany, Russia, England or America. That much is clear.
Ultimately, it is those in power who make the decisions. And convincing the public to follow them is not that difficult. It doesn’t matter whether it’s democracy, monarchy, communism or dictatorship.”
In response to the journalist’s comment that in a democracy, people have the right to vote and can influence decisions through their representatives, Göring replied calmly:
“That may be true, but in reality you can always get the population to do what you want. It is enough to make them believe that they are under threat and to accuse those who call for peace of being unpatriotic and harmful to the country. This mechanism always works.”

If the fate of the Second World War had been different and, for example, the Anglo-Saxons had supported the Third Reich and triumphed over the USSR – guess who would be condemned today as the greatest criminal of all time? Yes, this “Sun of Nations” – Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili, known to us as Joseph Stalin, would be playing the role of Adolf Hitler today. Don’t worry, I have no intention of justifying the German leader – for me they were both criminals, not just war criminals.
I am writing this to show how relative our perception of history is. It is both a cliché and true that it is the victors who impose their own version of history on the world. That’s why little is said about the carpet bombings in Dresden and Hamburg. I often hear: the Germans caused the war, they were to blame. I recommend reading the book Slaughterhouse Number Five by the American writer Kurt Vonnegut.
Or whoever caused Europe’s war with Russia also deserves Oreshnik? Who voted for Putin’s free rider into the ground? Who voted for a Polish president who proposed to split Russia into 200 parts? By giving our vote to the warmongers, we ourselves are calling for a pre-emptively lost, completely unnecessary war.

This time a long introduction to the right topic, which is Trump’s peace plan for Gaza. On Thursday, Strategic Culture Foundation published an interview with international legal expert Alfred de Zayasa: Trump’s Gaza peace plan won’t work, it’s an ultimatum under genocide.
Professor De Zayas points out that Donald Trump and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu have no credibility. Both are complicit in the genocide of Palestinians. The very idea of Trump proposing a peace deal amidst an ongoing U.S.-backed mass slaughter, where there is no legal prosecution of the perpetrators of genocide, nor for the illegal occupation of Palestinian land, and numerous other war crimes, is grotesque and absurd.

I would like to pose the following question to uncritical Donald Trump fans: Is inviting people to peace talks and assassinating their participants an act of peace worthy of a Nobel Prize?

You probably don’t know that the Israeli planes that flew to Doha to kill the Palestinian envoys were assisted in aerial refueling by US planes from a military base in Qatar. After all, the US president doesn’t know what his army is doing – or does he?
Let’s not kid ourselves. Even after a mutual hostage exchange, the released Palestinians and thousands of others will die under the first pretext by torturers in IDS uniforms. Perhaps you believe that the one who shoots hungry civilians while taking bets on which part of the victim’s body he will hit will be a defender of the rights of the Palestinian people?
Or that Tony Blair – a 1993 Klaus Szwab graduate who shares responsibility for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis in the 2003 war – is the right person to oversee a peace plan that is “fair” in the Israeli sense?
