The generation of our parents or grandparents may or may not have survived the tragedy of the Second World War. Both my grandparents were murdered by the Gestapo. I don’t want to relive scenes from that time. But what is happening today far surpasses the tragic memories of that time. Back then, defenceless people were taken to the death camps in direct trains. I have researched the story of a family of Dutch Jews, young parents with two daughters just a few years old, who were taken directly to the Auschwitz ramp, where they were probably all sent to a “bathhouse” without water after the selection. The date of death of the entire Jewish family coincides with the date of arrival at the camp.
Today, their heirs are worse than the tormentors of more than 80 years ago. They are not taking revenge on the Nazis or their descendants. Many Jews collaborated with the “supermen” back then. They are taking revenge on the landowners who were forced to make their land available to these descendants of the victims of National Socialism. See for yourself, by the way.
The Turkish broadcaster TRT circumvented the Israeli ban on filming the Gaza Strip from the air and published impressive footage from an airplane on August 13, 2025.
The images are shocking: entire neighborhoods lie in ruins.
Not in ancient times, not in the Middle Ages, not during the First or Second World War, not even after the atomic bombs over Japan, tsunamis or massive earthquakes – never before has an area with 2.5 million inhabitants been destroyed to such an extent.

We are witnessing a holocaust today. Some will probably get popcorn and watch innocent people die. What do I have to do with this? Since you don’t oppose lawlessness, you have a lot to do with it. The perpetrators of the Second World War could not have committed their crimes if they had not been tacitly supported by the majority who just wanted to survive. That is what complicity in crime is all about.
Both creations were to survive for 1,000 years.
