Five years ago, in July 2020, I wrote in an article, “Lie?”:
Is the pandemic a lie? I think we will turn it upside down if we have to prove that we are being cheated.
Isn’t it that those who deliberately mislead the whole world owe us evidence of their unfounded theories?

You can lie to some people all the time, but you can’t lie to everyone all the time.”
Abraham Lincoln.
In my articles, which are usually intentionally short so as not to bore readers, I refrain from in-depth analysis of the situation. One such analysis of the mechanisms of lying can be found in the article: The Lie About Lies.
At the deepest level, all these lies serve one function:
replacing reality with approved interpretation of reality.
- Physical reality → Model reality
(climate models trump observable climate); - Democratic reality → Expert reality
(what experts say you want trumps what you vote for); - Economic reality → ESG reality
(compliance scores trump actual outcomes); - Medical reality → Public health reality
(population statistics trump individual health); - Local reality → Global reality
(international frameworks trump community needs).
This article also offers practical tips on how to recognize lies and how to combat them. I invite you to read it.
A lie is not just the repetition of untruths—it is also the concealment of a reality that doesn’t fit into a planned political media direction.

For some people, lying is so deeply ingrained that they make up everything to avoid telling the truth. For example: Is it raining or is the sun shining? This is a way of life they have probably only chosen to make life difficult for themselves and others. Most recipients of such “revelations” know it’s all nonsense. The creative fabulist himself is only convinced because he is so good at lying. When he no longer knows which version of the “truth” he told whom, corrections appear that explain further lies. It is a widespread disease that consumes a lot of energy and yields virtually nothing in return.
