It was a bad week for the Ukrainians and their army, but business as usual for the country’s new oligarchs. The hryvnia, the Ukrainian national currency, is rolling for them, regardless of whether Vladimir Putin breaks a new record for drone strikes – the Ukrainian army counted 539 on Friday night – or Donald Trump stops the delivery of weapons to Ukraine, as American media found out on Monday. So why should we condemn the five billionaires who owe their fortunes to their well-intentioned “service” in the fight against the Russian army? Our “heroes” were already perfectly organized for corruption on a grand scale in their respective positions before Putin carried out his special military operation, the war.

You will not only have the usually blindly corrupt (and how!) judiciary against you, but also the media who will blame you for all the misery of those who have no opportunity to be in this business, or the minority who simply abhor such a practice.
It is not only the certificate of unfitness for military service that can be sold in Ukraine. There are reports that the Ukrainian military, in cooperation with Western companies, sells the organs of wounded soldiers, then kills them and tells their families that they died on the field of glory.
