“A pill for every disease” is the motto of the pharmaceutical industry. Naturally occurring remedies in the form of herbs, for example, have been increasingly suppressed and forgotten for decades. Natural remedies are being pushed off the market and laws are being passed to prevent their sale. The suspicion arises that these laws are not created to protect the consumer. Rather, they help the pharmaceutical industry to consolidate and complete its dominance of the medical market. Source.
Listed pharmaceutical companies are legally obliged to act in the interests of shareholders, even if this is at the expense of public health. This is another factor why we are getting sicker and sicker despite rising healthcare costs.
Nettles, known for generations as a vitamin bomb, contain 333 mg of vitamin C per 100 g. By comparison, cultivated lettuce contains 7 mg of vitamin C. Nettle also contains 17 mg of iron per 100 g of product. In our European latitudes, it would be difficult to ban the cultivation of stinging nettle, as it grows wild and tinctures made from young nettle are well described in numerous online forums.

All health-promoting remedies are the enemy of big pharma, whose interests are at odds with the health agenda. Why? It’s down to a simple economic calculation – a cured patient is a lost customer.

We will not regain our health if we continue to naively trust in the good intentions of Big Pharma. Unless we consider the alleviation of the symptoms of one disease as health and ignore the symptoms of the development of further diseases caused by the “treatment” of this first disease. Such “health” is what we have here and now.
