… given that over the past 170 years, Western countries have repeatedly rejected peace with Russia at every strategic opportunity. They have long viewed Russia as the Other, or rather, the evil empire. Even when it would be obvious, right, and in their security interest to make peace with Russia, the West has consistently refused. Quote from an article published on Wednesday on unser-mitteleuropa: Jeffrey Sachs: “Europe’s Russophobia goes back a good 200 years!” – Part 2. Source. I published the first part yesterday, entitled: How does Donald Trump compare to Franklin Roosevelt?

Europe, busy justifying its mistakes by presenting them as a historical mission, is making use of Russophobia that was constructed centuries ago. This anti-Russian practice began with the creation of a secret cabinet (Secret du Roi) by Louis XV, who in turn forged the will of Tsar Peter the Great, in which the tsar “proclaimed” that the sacred goal of Russian policy was to conquer all of Europe and create a great Eurasian empire. This completely fabricated document was later used repeatedly by Napoleon, the British, the United States, and even Hitler to justify aggression against Russia. The warmongering under the pretext of a threat from Moscow did not end with the Third Reich. Source: Interview with Professor Glenn Diesen. He is a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), and Associate Editor at Russia in Global Affairs.

Of course, Russophobia also has real causes. No reasonable person would claim that the Russians were always angels who brought freedom. However, rape, murder, looting, and torture are not inventions of the Russians. It is interesting that we Poles have no knowledge of similar rapes, murders, looting, and torture committed against the inhabitants of Moscow in 1610-1611, or perhaps we do not want to have any knowledge of them. Who was responsible for this? The Polish and Lithuanian garrisons that occupied Moscow at the time. The discontent in the city was exacerbated by the rampant actions of the Poles and Lithuanians, who committed rape and looting in the absence of the hetman. This quote is still particularly mildly worded. Source.

Russophobia has also given rise to myths that Russians are a nation of alcoholics. This is propaganda aimed at creating an image of Russians as drunken revelers in our minds. Poland ranked seventh in this competition, just behind Germany. Russia can boast 21st place. This is how the mindset of the average recipient is influenced by unfair manipulation by the media.

It seems that the WHO has forgotten Russia! How is it possible that it only ranks 21st among the countries with the highest alcohol consumption worldwide?
