The new US national security strategy has caused considerable confusion in European politics. What does it mean that NATO will no longer defend us in exchange for our subservient attitude towards the US? That was precisely the solid foundation on which most European politicians built their strategies. How convenient – they only have to nod and ignore American crimes, and they can save themselves the expense of armaments. What use is sovereignty, which is hardly monetizable? Although some politicians have managed to do so…
And then suddenly: Save yourselves – Europe is threatened by independence from the US! The United States has no interest in investing in a Europe that is collapsing – economically and politically – on its own. You don’t feed parasites – it’s best to force them to take their fate into their own hands. With the current politicians of most European countries, that’s impossible. They live in a prehistoric Cold War world.

An article on globalresearch.ca from Sunday tells us about the Americans’ plans for some EU countries to which they continue to attribute potential: Poland Will Play a Central Role in Advancing Trump’s National Security Strategy (NSS) in Europe.
Accordingly, while the US seemingly believes that France, Germany, the UK, and some others are beyond saving, the rest of the continent isn’t, ergo the NSS’ focus on Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe. The first two and part of the third overlap with the Polish-led “Three Seas Initiative” (3SI), which Greece joined in 2023. The 3SI aims to comprehensively integrate this shared space. It’s in the US’ interests to support Poland’s vision for economic, political, and military-strategic reasons.
US “support”? Experience teaches us that all US-backed states end tragically. Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden (a former CIA agent), the South Vietnamese government in 1975, the government in Kabul in 2021, and soon the Ukrainian president as well. They say, “God’s grace rides a colorful horse,” which perfectly describes the US’s treatment of its allies, a treatment dictated by current geopolitical needs.

For Poland to assume the role of economic locomotive and leading country in shaping European policy, a change in the ruling party would be necessary. The parties that have remained loyal to the entrenched system lack both the charisma and the assertiveness to take responsibility for the future of the continent. Polish politics to date has consisted of either submitting to the chairman with his outdated, obsolete management style of the PiS animal farm, or agreeing with the childish prime minister who fights over every bucket in the sandbox just to curry favor with foreign sponsors guided by the ideology of an unrealized world order.
It is incompatible with a leadership role for a European politician to wield a saber to exploit sometimes legitimate grievances and the desire for reparations for injustices committed by Russians against Poland. Russian voices pointing to historically similar Polish treatment of them, however, are completely ignored. Such conflicts can only be resolved through dialogue with the other side. It wasn’t Russia that closed all channels for such talks.
Given the self-destructive policies of Germany, France, Great Britain, and some other bankrupt candidates, it’s not such a utopian idea that Poland could become number one in Europe. The European Union, in its current form, won’t survive the next few years, so in this analysis, I’m treating England as an equal to the other EU countries.

Anyone who dares to offer advice to the Poles across the Oder should consider what the Germans accomplished during that time.
Hans Olaf Henkel – German politician and journalist.
The recent tendencies in Germany and Poland to drive a wedge between the two nations play into the hands of globalists. I am not claiming that the authors of these statements support the ideology of Davos. Often it is misguided patriotism that sees a threat in the occasional escapades of politicians with opposing views across the border. Poland does not threaten Germany—it is its own government that threatens Germany. Poland has the opportunity to take over Germany’s role in Europe, but only because the Bundestag is passing laws that are destroying the German economy. The same applies to the supposed threat to Poland from Germany. This is a classic example of rule by division.
