From Afghanistan to Iraq, Libya to Syria, and now potentially Venezuela, the formula is always the same. They tell us that a country is a threat to America, or more broadly, a threat to American democratic principles. Thus, they say the mission to topple a foreign government is a noble quest to protect security at home while spreading freedom and prosperity to foreign lands. The warmongers will even insist it’s not a choice, but that it’s imperative to wage war.
These are the words of US Senator Rand Paul, a Republican from Kentucky. He is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. On Monday, he published an article on responsiblestatecraft.org: Multipolar integrations: the other system (part 2).

Rand Paul has been fighting against aggressive US foreign policy for years. On the same day, November 10, Alex Krainer published an article on alexkrainer.substack.com titled: Multipolar integrations: the other system (part 2), in which he compares the future of two systems: the Western system and the multipolar system represented by the BRICS bloc.
… the problem is not in the American people but in the system. Rather than investing in infrastructure and production of goods and services that actually serve the needs of society, colossal amounts of capital are being squandered on military hardware, ammunitions and warfare – goods destined only for destruction, to the ultimate benefit of the too-big-to-fail banking institutions and their clients in the military-industrial complex. This squandering of resources is being done to everyone else’s detriment.
The firing of missiles at fishing boats without concrete evidence of the alleged drug offenses demonstrates desperation and, above all, the collapse of all legal, moral, and simply rational principles. It is a collapse of the rule of law. An act of warfare without a declaration of war. This is not the first time Donald Trump has violated international law.

In January, it will be the sixth anniversary of Trump’s order to assassinate a general from a country with which the US was not at war. Could decades-old media clichés like the “axis of evil” serve as justification for this murder? It’s like killing your wife’s mother simply because she’s your mother-in-law—and everyone knows that mothers-in-law aren’t a good sign. I should mention that I had a very good relationship with my mother-in-law, who died of natural causes.
Rumors are circulating worldwide that Nicolás Maduro, the president of Venezuela, was involved in manipulating and rigging the 2020 US elections. Even if this is true, it implies that Trump is waging a private war—a vendetta—for personal gain. Fortunately, he isn’t supplying armed missiles to the EU, at least not launched ones, because he maintains lucrative business relationships with Europe.
