My experience with DMSO goes back several years. It can be used orally or as a rinsing liquid. I mostly use its ability to penetrate tissue and transport other medications. I do this when rinsing my throat and teeth to counteract inflammation. The medication I use for this is an aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide CDS (formerly MMS). DMSO ensures that part of the rinse enters the tissue in the gums. Of course, care must be taken to ensure cleanliness, otherwise contaminants will also enter the tissue.
What are the effects? After a few days of rinsing my teeth in this way, the inflammation disappears. I have also had cases where a loose tooth that I could move with my fingers was no longer loose after a week and is still healthy today.
