I apologize for the misleading title – I have no intention of writing about the history of the Spanish monarchy today. This is merely the association I have with the influenza epidemic over 100 years ago, which I suspected was caused by the mass introduction of a vaccine by the US Navy.
The Spanish Constitutional Court’s decision to declare several provisions of the 2020 state of alarm unconstitutional has triggered a wave of sanctions being lifted. According to the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Remembrance, 92,278 fines had already been officially lifted by September 3, 2025 – a milestone in the legal review of the pandemic policy. The problem of unjust punishments for social disobedience mentioned in this article does not only apply to Spain. In Europe, with the exception of Belarus, Russia and Sweden, fines have been imposed on disobedients practically everywhere. I was also fined by the Vienna Administrative Court for not wearing a muzzle.
The decision of the Spanish Constitutional Court clears the way, but it does not specify who is responsible for implementing this lawlessness. In the countries that drastically curtailed citizens’ rights at the time, the puppet governments – yes, these are the same people for whose parties we voted. They, in turn, listened to the perpetrators of the pandemic, which perfectly explains why all politicians at the time gave the same-sounding justifications for these criminal acts.
