In 2024, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research shocked the public with a study that supposedly predicted the ruin of the global economy due to climate change. However, the work has since turned out to be a scientific disaster, riddled with methodological errors, concealed conflicts of interest and dubious links with financial and political networks. The corruption of science reflects a corruption of the democratic process. In an effort to circumvent democratic process of decision making for energy and industrial policy—a process deemed too frustrating by climate hardliners—advocates have created a complex and vast NGO financial regulatory regime that can effectively steer governments and financial institutions to act on dubious climate information to curb fossil fuel use, cut emissions regardless of the consequences, and increase the cost of living in the name of avoiding ecological collapse.
This is not the only case of fraudsters misusing science for their nefarious purposes. False mathematical models based on manipulated data, combined with illogical assumptions, lead to conclusions that contradict reality.
The biggest climate change hysterics dare not call the summer of 2025 the warmest in more than 100,000 years. A year ago, yes, but a cool July was not conducive to the propaganda that says it’s hotter where you live than anywhere else. By “elsewhere” we probably mean Greenland, whose ice sheet has been growing for many years.
That was in December 2009 – former US Vice President Al Gore warned that the polar ice could disappear within five years! At the time, he was relying on computer models. Some models indicate that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire ice cap at the North Pole could be completely ice-free in some summer months within the next five to seven years, Gore said. Al Gore is considered the first millionaire to owe his fortune to climate hysteria.
Fortunately, he was not forbidden to put a table with two chairs in the pasture….
Fear is an important tool for controlling societies. That is why the images of people perishing in the streets of Chinese cities were the first to appear in the media before the announcement of the pandemic and were shown on most television programs at the time.
In Nova Scotia (now New Brunswick), access to the forests was completely banned due to drought and the risk of fire. Those who do not comply face fines of up to 25,000 dollars. Of course, this is about protecting life and property. After all, the government is always looking out for our interests.
You remember the pandemic regulations. In Poland, entering the woods risked infection with a made-up disease and administrative fines. She will recognize the pattern: first a “temporary” blockade for protection, then new conditions for access. The next step could be the “regulation” of public space, i.e. its privatization under the pretext of security, climate protection or disaster prevention.
In the next step, corporations such as BlackRock or their partners will establish lease and access rights, forests will become paid-for adventure zones instead of common property. New rules are being prepared for, because the provisional is the most permanent element of socio-political transformation.
It was 1983, and the Geier Sturzflug band’s song: Visit Europe (while it still exists) was a big hit in German-speaking countries. The theme is still relevant, although today the title could be updated: Visit the forests while you still can.
